Anderson Arts Center Hosts After School Art Studio
The Anderson Arts Center is now accepting registrations for After School Art Studio.
This is a fun and collaborative art adventure for kids of all ability and experience levels that want to learn and make art. Classes in small groups are offered one or two afternoons per week throughout the school year.
Professional artists will help students develop skills in a variety of mediums, and there are options for both two-dimensional and three-dimensional classes. Students can experience drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, clay, sculpture and more.
“Kids are offered after-school sports or classes like dance and gymnastics. We want to offer those artistically inclined students an after-school option as well to help them grow and develop their talent,” said April Cameron, executive director of the Anderson Arts Center.
The classes do not require any prior art training, and all sessions will be offered with appropriate safety protocols in place regarding social distancing and face coverings.
Classes are open for ages 4 to 18, and students will be grouped age appropriately. The first class begins on September 8.
