ANDERSON, SC (January 21, 2020) — Parents with young children, seniors, and bookworms of all ages will have a new space to read and relax at Anderson Mall: The Book Nook. The Book Nook is a place for children to learn, read, discover, and play. It’s a quiet place for the young and young at heart to take a break with a good book and to discover new authors. The Book Nook, located near the Belk Court entrance, will hold a grand opening celebration on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with refreshments, music, and a live artist. The Rotary Club of Anderson will donate books to the Book Nook at the grand opening.

The Book Nook will have a variety of books available for guests to read, from picture books for young children to novels and non-fiction for adults. Guests are encouraged to donate one of their own books, swapping it for another one on the shelf. 

“We are excited to bring this unique space to Anderson Mall, to cultivate a love of reading among our guests,” said Chunsta Miller, General Manager at Anderson Mall. “The Book Nook is one more way we are providing gathering spaces for our guests and fostering a sense of community, through the various events we are planning to host. We are bringing the library experience to our guests, one book at a time.”

The Book Nook at Anderson Mall is sponsored by Healthy Blue, part of the BlueChoice HealthPlan of SC.
