DENVER DOWNS FARMS CORN MAZE NOMINATED FOR USA TODAY’S “10 BEST CORN MAZES IN THE US”
ANDERSON, SC (August 12, 2019) – For the third year in a row, the corn maze at Denver Downs Farms in Anderson, SC has been nominated for USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest. The family-owned and operated farms was selected from an expert panel as a Top 20 Corn Maze and contender for the 10 Best Corn Mazes, beating out 500 other mazes in the country.
Voting takes place until August 26th at this link: https://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-corn-maze/.
“We are thrilled to be selected again as one of the top mazes in the country and hope readers push us to the top of the list for 2019,” said Catherine Garrison Davis, Marketing Manager/ Co-Owner of Denver Downs. “This year’s theme of a moon walk is especially engaging and we can’t wait to open our farm up in the fall for families and people of all ages to enjoy the maze and farm activities and music.”
The 10-acre maze has a design theme every year and this season the theme is “Celebrates 50 Years of the Moon Walk.” Visitors will have fun finding their way through this labyrinth, while learning facts about the Moon Walk with information posted throughout the maze.
Denver Downs Farms is no stranger to the 10 Best Corn Mazes in the country list. They have made the list twice – in 2016 and 2018 – and are only one of two corn mazes in the Southeast to be featured.
“There are a lot of really great corn mazes in the U.S., so it is really exciting to be nominated – it would be even more thrilling to place again on the list,” said Ron Smith, Catherine’s brother-in-law and Corn Maze Operations Manager. “We work year round preparing our Maze and Fall Festival so our guests will enjoy and make special memories while they are here.”
Readers’ Digest Magazine and Southern Living Magazine both have Denver Downs’ Pumpkin Patch ranked as the best in SC. In addition to 10-acre corn maze to navigate, there are 35 fun barnyard activities and Denver Downs will have over 25 tons of pumpkins this season. New activities to the Farm this Fall are the “Double D Gem Mine” and the “Low Ropes Course”.
Later this month, Denver Downs will host Operation Music Festival. On August 30 & 31 there will be 21 bands in 2 days – including headliner for Friday- Bret Michaels, and headliners for Saturday – Lee Brice and Tyler Farr. Tickets Available on the farm website.
