Beautiful Lake Hartwell spans 56,000 acres – plenty of space for boating, fishing, and catching some waves. Anglers have even caught fish as large as 60 lbs.! What will you reel in?

Though Lake Hartwell is certainly the biggest star, there are two other lakes in Anderson County for you to get your fishing fix in, too. Broadway Lake and Lake Russell also provide ample fishing and a beautiful atmosphere.

Make a Splash

You’ll be living on lake time once you get out on Lake Hartwell. If you have your own boat, there are several marinas and boat ramps where you can embark on your lake day. If you’re more of an adrenaline junkie, rent a jet ski and go make some waves!

Hook, Line, & Sinker

The fishing is fine here at Lake Hartwell! Keep an eye out for the smallmouth and largemouth bass, striped bass, bream, catfish, walleye, and even the occasional trout that call Lake Hartwell home. Plus, stock up on some bait and learn where they’re biting before you hit the water.

Marinas & Marine Centers

Make sure your boat is ship-shape by visiting a boating service center before you hit the waves. If you’re in need of a repair, some advice, or even just looking to top off the gas tank, you’ll want to visit the experts at these centers.
