FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 25, 2022

The Soirée, a regional food and art festival, will once again electrify the streets of downtown Anderson April 29-30, 2022. This community-led festival, hosted by the City of Anderson, will provide a free, entertaining two-day cultural experience attracting visitors from near and far.

The Soirée was a signature community festival in downtown Anderson from 1987-2009. During that time, the Soirée distinguished itself as one of the first, and finest, arts festivals in our region. The Soirée will continue the same standard of excellence on Friday afternoon, April 29th and all-day Saturday, April 30th with a focus on performing, visual, and culinary arts.

A family-friendly event, the Soirée will feature a designated area for children’s games and activities. Downtown restaurants and food trucks will bring culinary delights and visitors can enjoy live performances with multiple stages starring local and regional talent. More than 50 artists will present their work through a partnership with the Anderson Arts Center.

Organizers announced this week that the presenting sponsor will be Upcountry Fiber and the media sponsor will be WYFF-4.

Other sponsors confirmed to date include Legacy Sponsors Anderson County, AnMed Health, Anderson University, Duke Energy, and Piedmont Natural Gas along with The People’s Bank, McCoy Wright, Grainger Nissan, TriCounty Technical College, State Farm Ron Haskell, Sullivan-King Mortuary, Clever Techs, and Papa Bear Car Wash.
