Visit Anderson Revealed New Brand at Launch Event Thursday, March 14, 2024

ANDERSON, SC, 3/15/24 — Visit Anderson hosted a rebrand party on Thursday, March 14, 2024. The Visit Anderson team revealed a new logo, tagline, and marketing plan to reach new target markets and continue successfully drawing travelers, tour groups, and events to Anderson County. Visit Anderson’s new brand assets emphasize the region’s connection with Lake Hartwell and prime location along I-85.

“Our team believes that it’s more than just a logo and a tagline; it’s something that aligns with our strategies and hopes for the future of not just Visit Anderson but Anderson County as a whole,” said Neil Paul, Visit Anderson’s executive director. “Our brand and slogan needed to represent everyone, and every organization, in our area. This new look aligns with a more ambitious approach to representing all of Anderson and promoting our shared vision for the future in regard to attracting more tourism. We are thankful for everyone who came to the event on Thursday and who supported our rebrand along its path to fruition.”

Paul was joined by Anderson County Council Chairman Tommy Dunn, Anderson City Council Member Luis Martinez, and Anderson County’s Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Division Director Glenn Brill in offering remarks during the event. The speakers shared memories of Visit Anderson’s origin 20 years ago and expressed a cohesive vision for how the County, City, and Visit Anderson will continue working together to cement Anderson as a top destination for travelers, sporting events, and those looking to relocate. Guests were then invited to enjoy food from a local dining staple, Skins’ Hot Dogs, while learning more about the design choices and story behind the new brand.

That story was inspired in part by the beautiful natural resources in and around Anderson County, such as Lake Hartwell. Since Visit Anderson opened its doors, Lake Hartwell has risen in prominence in the angling and outdoor sports world, in no small part due to Visit Anderson’s efforts. The lake is a key asset not only for sports tourism but also the region at large: a leisure outlet for Anderson’s residents and a draw for tourists. Waves and water imagery represent how important the lake is in these fields. Bright colors evoke warmth, promise, energy, and vibrancy, symbolizing an optimistic future and representing the strong, economically-sound community of Anderson.

Visit Anderson is a convention and visitors bureau (CVB) dedicated to promoting Anderson County, its residents, and its attractions. CVBs like Visit Anderson were created to help destinations across the country attract more tourism to their communities. Visit Anderson works with residents and visitors alike in many ways to accomplish these goals. The team at Visit Anderson creates brochures, apps, websites, press releases, and more to tell Anderson County’s story to travelers, those looking to relocate, and event organizers.
